ViewQwest’s 10Gbps plan uses Amazon’s eero Max 7 mesh for S$44.98/mth during its promo period

ViewQwest has unveiled a new 10-Gigabit Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS PON) and 3Gbps5Gbps, and 10Gbps Internet plans for subscription, known as ViewQwest X services.

Joining the likes of My RepublicSingtel and StarHub in offering higher Internet speeds to Singapore homes, the basic ViewQwest X service, the 3Gbps service, starts at S$20.98/month for the first 10 months, then S$44.98/month for the remainder of the contract period. The 5 Gbps plan will start at S$32.99/month for the first 10 months, and then rise to $56.99/month for the remaining 14 months. Finally, the 10 Gbps plan will start at S$44.98/month for the first 10 months, then cost S$68.98/month for the remaining 14 months.

In addition to the new Internet plans and to properly serve local customers, Viewqwest became a distributor for Amazon’s networking equipment. As part of its new Internet plans, ViewQwest is also introducing new network routers in the form of eero Max 7 (Wi-Fi 7) and eero Pro 6E (Wi-Fi 6E) both from Amazon, and the all-in-one networking Ubiquiti Dream Machine SE. My Republic, Singtel, and StarHub offer networking equipment from TP-Link.

The Amazon eero Max 7 mesh Wi-Fi router has two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, providing coverage up to 7,500sqft. and allows you to connect 200 or more devices. The eero Pro 6E supports network speeds up to 2.3Gbps, providing network coverage up to 2,000sqft and support for more than 100 connected devices.

According to ViewQwest, existing customers with three  months or less remaining on their contract can renew for another 24 months to enjoy the ViewQwest X services. Customers not eligible for re-contract can take advantage of the Speed Upgrade promo, regardless of their current plan. They need to agree to top up an additional S$3.27/month for 3Gbps, S$6.54/month for 5Gbps, and S$13.08/month for 10Gbps speed boosts, with a minimum commitment period of 12 months to do so.
