Frequently Asked Questions — Static IP

The Internet Protocool (IP) address acts as a form of identification for your internet connection (like an address). A static IP is tied to your connection with ViewQwest and does not change each time your internet connection reconnects to the network. Static IPs are useful if you are using IP cameras at home or running servers in your home network and you want to connect to them directly from outside your home network.

With our 1Gbps and 2Gbps Single Network plans with routers, ViewQwest will provide you a single Static IP address. We do not have the option to add on a second one.

You can get a Static IP at $3.99/mth, GST Included.

FREE Activation Fee on the first request.

Succeeding Deactivation and Re-activation will be charged $35.33 per request.

For new signups and existing customers not up for recontract, you can email cs@viewqwest.com for this request.

For recontracting customers, you can avail through our Customer Portal when you renew your plan.

In the event you wish to request for termination of your Static IP service, you may submit your request to cs@viewqwest.com.
Please do note that termination date of Static IP will be reflected as of the date the termination request is submitted. Termination will be effective within 1-3 working days, and any advance charges will refunded back to you accordingly which can be viewed on a revised invoice that will be sent to your registered email address upon successful termination.
There will be a reactivation fee at $35 per request for future add on after a successful termination.
